1. IRON CASTING:
IS CONSISTENTLY 20-25M P.S.I. STRENGTH RANGE. THE IRON SHOULD BE CLEANED
OF ALL FOREIGN SUBSTANCES. A MERE RUST COLORED OXIDATION, UNLIKE A SCALE
RUST, CAN BE PRIMED RIGHT OVER IT. PRIME THE COAT WITH ANY OIL BASED METAL
PAINT CONTAINING ALKYDS OR PHENOLIC SUBSTANCE.
2. ALUMINUM CASTING:
IS POURED FROM INGOTS, EQUAL TO, OR BETTER THAN, #319 ALLOY GIVING THEM
STRENGTH, DURABILITY AND LIGHT WEIGHT, APPROXIMATELY, 1/3 THE WEIGHT
OF IRON CASTING. THEY SHOULD BE CLEANED OF ALL FOREIGN SUBSTANCES. KEEP
IN MIND, THAT THE PRIMER COATS SHOULD CONTAIN ZINC CHROMATES OR ZINC
OXIDE. THE PRIMERS CONTAINING LEAD, MERCURY OR COPPER SHOULD NOT BE
USED ON ALUMINUM. FINAL THE COAT WITH ANY TYPE PAINT CONTAINING ACRYLIC
RESINS.
A. WHEN ORDERING ALUMINUM CASTINGS:
YOU MUST SPECIFY ALUMINUM AND, WHETHER OR NOT, YOU REQUIRE STEEL WELD
TABS (1/2 x8GAUGE). THE TABS CANNOT BE CAST INTO BRACKETS, VALANCES,
FRIEZES OR OTHER CASTINGS THAT ARE (S.F.) SINGLE FACE OR (S.B.O.) SIDE
BACK OUT.
3. IRON & ALUMINUM CASTING:
THESE ARE CAST FROM THE SAME IMPRESSION. YOU HAVE A SURE SIZE AND CONFIGURATION
TO WORK WITH. SOME ITEMS ARE THIN AND BRITTLE, WHILE OTHERS ARE THICK
AND SUBSTANTIAL. THEY SHOULD NOT BE USED AS A STRUCTURAL MEMBER, OR
EXPOSED TO RIGEROUS USAGE BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC. ALL IRON & ALUMINUM
ARE DOUBLE FACED UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED:
A. (D.F.) DOUBLE FACED - THE SAME ON BOTH SIDES
B. (S.F.) SINGLE FACED - FLAT ON BACK SIDE WITH LITTLE

4. (STEEL FORGINGS) *WE WELCOME NEW SIZES & IDEAS*
WROUGHT MILD STEEL ALLOWING MALLEABILITY AND EASE IN FABRICATING STEEL
TO STEEL. IT CAN BE PAINTED IN THE SAME MANNER AS IRON CASTING, OR, IF
YOU PREFER TO LEAVE THE FORGING IN THERE NATURAL STATE, COAT THEM WITH
A CLEAR ACRYLIC OR POLYURETHANE COATING. BECAUSE OF, THE NATURE OF FORGED
METALS, SOME SIZES MAY VARY, EITHER IN WIDTH OR HEIGHT. FOR THE BEST RESULTS,
WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO NOT ASSEMBLE YOUR WORK UNTIL YOU RECEIVE ALL
YOUR COMPONENTS.

10. RETURNS:

GENERAL CHAIR ASSEMBLY:
1. LAY SEAT UPSIDE DOWN ON THE FLOOR.
2. AFTER ALL LEGS ARE ATTACHED, TIGHTEN BOLTS SECURELY.
USE CARE NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN TO THE POINT OF CAUSING BREAKAGE.
3. TURN CHAIR TO AN UPRIGHT POSITION. USING 1/4 x 1
1/4 FLATHEAD BOLTS, LOOSELY ATTACH ONE ARM TO THE SEAT SECTION, THEN
ATTACH THE REMAINING SECTION, ONE AT A TIME, TO THE SEAT SECURING EACH
PIECE TO THE OTHER AS YOU GO. 4. AFTER ALL ARMS & BACKS ARE ATTACHED,
PROCEED TO SECURE TIGHTLY.
SMALL TABLE ASSEMBLY:
1. LAY THE TOP UPSIDE DOWN ON THE FLOOR.
2. USING 1/4 x 1 1/4 FLATHEAD BOLTS, ATTACH THE LEGS
TO THE TOP & ATTACH BRACES REQUIRED.
3. TIGHTEN SECURELY, BUT NOT TO THE POINT OF CAUSING
BREAKAGE.
LARGER TABLE ASSEMBLY:
1. FIND THE ROUND CENTER SECTION & THE FOUR OUTSIDE RING
SECTIONS.
2. USING 1/4 x 1 1/4 FLATHEAD BOLTS, LOOSELY ATTACH
THE OUTSIDE RING SECTIONS TO THE ROUND CENTER SECTION. AFTER OUTSIDE SECTIONS
HAVE BEEN ATTACHED, TIGHTEN BOLTS SECURELY. USE CARE NOT TO OVERTIGHTEN
TO THE POINT OF CAUSING BREAKAGE.
3. USING 1/4 x 1 1/4 FLATHEAD BOLTS, ATTACH THE FOUR
LEGS LOOSELY TO THE COMPLETE TOP.
4. NOW, LOOSELY ATTACH THE SHELF TO THE LEGS, USING THE
1/4 x 1 1/4 ROUNDHEAD BOLTS.
5. AFTER ALL PIECES HAVE BEEN LOOSELY ATTACHED, TIGHTEN
ALL BOLTS SECURELY.
TREE BENCH ASSEMBLY:
1. LAY 3 OF THE SEAT SECTIONS UPSIDE DOWN & FORM A HALF
CIRCLE. ATTACH WITH 1/4 x 1 1/4 FLATHEAD BOLTS LOOSELY. REPEAT THIS
STEP WITH THE REMAINING SEAT SECTIONS BUT DO NOT CONNECT THE TWO HALF
CIRCLES YOU HAVE FORMED.
2. ATTACH THE THREE LEGS LOOSELY TO EACH OF THE HALF
CIRCLES.
3. TURN EACH ASSEMBLED HALF CIRCLE OVER; NOW, PLACE THEM
AROUND THE TREE, & BOLT THEM TOGETHER LOOSELY.
4. ASSEMBLE THE SIX BACK SECTIONS ON THE ROUND BENCH,
LEAVING BOLTS LOOSE UNTIL THE COMPLETE BACK IS ASSEMBLED; NOW, ATTACH
IT TO THE ROUND BENCH. BE SURE TO TIGHTEN ALL THE BOLTS FIRMLY.
ANTIQUING FURNITURE & ACCESSORIES:
1. APPLY A BASE COAT OF ENAMEL OR LACQUER ONTO MATERIAL.
2. ALLOW TO DRY.
3. APPLY DESIRED ANTIQUE COAT OF ENAMEL & ALLOW TO DRY
UNTIL STICKY TO TOUCH.
4. DAMPEN LINT-FREE RAG (CHEESE CLOTH,T-SHIRT...) WITH
KEROSENE.
5. RUB ITEM WITH RAG REMOVING ANTIQUE COAT FOR DESIRED
FINISH.
6. FOR A NICE FINISH, ROTATE RAG OFTEN TO PREVENT RUBBING
AREA FROM BECOMING CLOGGED WITH PAINT.
7. ALLOW MATERIAL TO FULLY DRY BEFORE HANDLING. |
